It was a cold and rainy March afternoon, but that didn’t dim the spirits of hundreds of Westchester County educators and activists who rallied in support of fixing Tier 6.

Against the majestic backdrop of the Million Dollar Staircase, more than 500 Committee of 100 activists made their voices heard at a spirited noontime Fix Tier Six rally at the New York state Capitol.

As the 2024 legislative session begins in Albany, NYSUT will be back at it, fighting for strong public schools for students and educators and the rights and dignity of all our members. We’ll also be advocating for measures that will help to make New York a world economic leader for decades to come.
